AAaaghhh.... Do I deserve this from him/her?

Many times in our lives we think of why is it our good deeds to a friend/partner/family member is rewarded with a betrayal. After all the things that we have done for that person, surely we deserve some acknowledgement. Or at the very least, a word of thank you will do. Not a stab at our back!

First, we have to ask ourselves WHY we do the good deed in the first place. If it is because of that person then we will be disappointed at one point or another. Why? Because that person is a mere human being full of weaknesses just like us. Just how many human can be as good as an angel? Are you as good as an angel? Surely not. Just as other people disappoint us at times, we also disappoint others either intentionally or unintentionally. Our loved ones are not spared from the hurt we inflict upon them.

BUT if we do it because of Allah then our rewards is from Allah. In a tight jam, if you release a car from being stuck by giving space for it to move,  then other car will do the same to you at other time. If you loan some money to a needy friend then some other friend will do the same to you some day. Rewards don't come from the same person because the rewards come from other source. The holy source. It is Allah that will reward you. So if a wife treats her husband nicely because of Allah, only to find her being divorced in the end, then rest assure that Allah will substitute with someone better. Or something better. 'Rezeki' can come in many forms.

So if you are in such a situation like the wife above, hold your fingers and wait for some good things to come along your way soon. A lot of good things can only come after a turmoil. Have faith in Allah.
